Free Microsoft Office apps. Available now!

Microsoft have released four new Office apps (Word, Excel, Powerpoint and OneNote) for use on iPad, iPhone and Android devices. Viewing is free but you will need a Microsoft Account to create and edit documents. You can unlock the full app experience with an Office 365 subscription.

I think Office 2013 (on disk) is a better Office solution for businesses but either way the free apps are handy.

Microsoft Says:

"Microsoft's four new, free apps are available on your iPad and iPhone. With both Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox access, access to your files is just a click away. The new Microsoft Office apps give you the ability to flat out get more done."

"With the real Microsoft Office apps, your Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents look better than ever on iPhone® and AndroidTM phone. The apps have the familiar Office look and feel along with an intuitive touch experience, so you’ll be up and running in no time. Create, edit, and share with confidence."
